Specializing in freshwater fish dishes, the Creux-de-Genthod restaurant in Geneva offers regional cuisine. Dishes are created using local, seasonal ingredients. All dishes are prepared in-house.

In the 18th century, the sheltered bay of Creux-de-Genthod, protected from the north wind, became a refuge for sailing boats on Lake Geneva that ply the Swiss shore, laden with various goods.
In the 19th century, the small port of Genthod was home to significant industrial activity, including a shipyard that produced some of Lake Geneva’s most prestigious steamships. The quality of this natural harbor made it an ideal anchorage for steamers in northerly weather.
In 1926, the lakeside land became the property of the municipality of Genthod. The rustic café was then transformed into a restaurant.

For a century, the Restaurant du Creux de Genthod has been a Geneva institution, preserving tradition while remaining forward-looking and constantly evolving.
