Venha descobrir Genebra como era num fim de semana em 1602<\/strong> e fa\u00e7a uma viagem no tempo.<\/h4>\n

Nesse ano, durante a noite de 11 para 12 de dezembro, Carlos Emanuel I, Duque de Sab\u00f3ia, tentou tomar Genebra, que tinha abra\u00e7ado a f\u00e9 reformada desde 1536. Marchou com o seu ex\u00e9rcito sob a prote\u00e7\u00e3o das trevas para tomar a cidade de surpresa. Planeava fazer de Genebra a capital dos seus territ\u00f3rios a norte dos Alpes e lutar contra o calvinismo com o apoio do Papa Clemente VIII, apesar de um tratado de paz que tinha sido jurado e renovado v\u00e1rias vezes.<\/p>\n

Pouco depois da meia-noite, o ex\u00e9rcito savoiardo, com mais de dois mil homens fortes e bem equipados, estava posicionado em Plainpalais. Um grande grupo destacou-se, alcan\u00e7ou a base da muralha da cidade, ergueu as suas escadas e come\u00e7ou a subir aparentemente sem ser detectado.<\/p>\n
