If you seek an alternative to the typical tourist attractions while in Geneva, I am pleased to present the unique experience of Le Bois de la Bâtie. This enchanting forest offers a tranquil retreat, featuring scenic walking paths amid lush greenery. Visitors can immerse themselves in nature while enjoying the serene atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for relaxation and reflection. Reaching the park is just part of the enjoyment; I recommend starting at Quai du Seujet. From there, make your way to The Falaises de St Jean, which leads to a lovely path along the Rhône River, nestled in a serene and picturesque forest. This route will take you over the Viaduc de la Jonction, where you can appreciate the stunning view of where the Rhône and Arve rivers converge, one of Geneva’s most beautiful sights.

In addition to the various walking and running trails, there is an incredible animal park and plenty of activities for kids to enjoy. They can jump, run, and have a great time. The park also features two snack and restaurant spots.

Café de la Tour – is situated in a great location, but because of its small menu, consistently average service during our multiple visits, and limited hours, we cannot in all honesty recommend it unless there are no alternatives.

Sadara – The refreshment kiosk features a selection of healthy, seasonal, and locally sourced items, provided by a dedicated and innovative team that pays close attention to every detail and interaction. The setting is fantastic, and their exceptional customer service makes it my top choice when I visit the park (see Sadara listing on Nodengo).
